The project is located in Caofeidian Industrial Zone, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, invested by Caofeidian Xintian LNG Co., Ltd., our company has undertaken the construction of the pile foundation of this project, including the construction of more than 1400 concrete piles of 1.4m in diameter and 65m in depth for 1#, 2#, 5# and 6# LNG storage tanks, and the construction of gravel piles for 1# and 5# storage tanks.
The gravel piles foundation construction of this project started on July 06, 2021 and was completed on December 07, 2021. 1# and 5# tanks are arranged with more than 7,200 gravel piles with a diameter of 600mm and a pile length of 10m. At the end of the construction, a third-party testing company conducted a foundation test on the 1# and 5# tank gravel piles foundation, and the test results showed that they were qualified.
The bored piles are constructed with slurry retaining wall, and more than 370 concrete piles with a diameter of 1.4m and a length of 65m are arranged in a single tank, totaling more than 1400 piles. After the construction of the piles was completed, the third-party testing company carried out testing. 4 piles were tested with static load test for a single tank, and 16 piles were tested with static load test in total, and the test results showed that the ultimate compressive bearing capacity and the characteristic value of vertical compressive bearing capacity of each pile met the design requirements. The pile integrity was tested by acoustic wave detection and low strain test. The proportion of acoustic testing is 10%, and the acoustic transmission test results shows that all of them are Class I piles. From the test results, it can be seen that the pile integrity meets the design and specification requirements.
