This project is located in Hohhot City, entrusted by Hohhot Airport Construction Management Investment Co., Ltd, our company is responsible for the pile foundation construction of this project.
The submerged rotary piles are adopted in this project, with diameters of 800 mm, 1,000 mm, 1,200 mm and 1,500 mm, more than 1,000 piles in total, with a design length of 35-70m. During the construction process, it was found that the ②2nd layer was a silt layer with a depth of about 8 m-12 m and a thickness of about 3 m-4 m. Poor mud performance and improper hole drilling operation may cause hole collapse, sediment exceeding the standard and concrete exceeding the normal usage. Meanwhile, according to the drawings, there are more than 60 kinds of pile top elevations in this project, and the depth of pile tops ranges from -5.85m to -20.35m. Precise and efficient control of each pile elevation and control of concrete overfilling height is the key point of quality control in this project.
The project was started on March 30, 2022 and completed on July 06, 2022, lasting for 98 days, meeting the requirements of the owner for the construction period. In this project, about 600 piles were completed in the area of transfer center and parking building, including 63 piles were detected by ultrasonic testing, and all the remaining piles were detected by low strain; about 200 piles were completed in the area of rail transit center, including 67 piles were detected by ultrasonic testing, 5 piles were detected by static load, and all the remaining piles were detected by low strain; about 300 piles were completed in the area of overpass and west auxiliary road bridge, all of which were detected by ultrasonic testing method and all of them were qualified. All the contents of the project meet the requirements of the contract.
